A delegation led by Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre has arrived in Baidoa, the administrative capital of Southwest state on Saturday.
The premier and his team were welcomed by the leader of Southwest state, Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed Lafta Garen upon arrival at Shati Gadud airport.
Hassan Kheyre later greeted the residents of Baidoa who gathered at Dr. Ayub stadium.
He will meet regional officials, representatives from civil society and cultural leaders during his tour.
The meeting will focus on improving the education and health sector while strengthening security and operations against armed group al-Shabaab.
The PM praised the leadership of the state for their efforts in development and close cooperation with the Federal government in Mogadishu.
He chaired the Somali partnership forum meeting with ambassadors in the country.
