Somali President back in Mogadishu after United Nations General Assembly

Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has returned back into the country on Monday following week-long busy scheduled at 74th United Nations General Assembly Session.

The head of state was received by senior government officials at Aden Abdulle International Airport including the Deputy Prime Minister, Mahdi Mohamed Mohamed Guled, The Finance Minister, Abdirahman Beyle and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Omar Mohamed Mohamud.

During his week-long official tour to the United States President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo attended UN High-Level Meeting by addressing United Nations General Assembly in New York held, Bilateral & Multilateral talks mainly with the President of the neighboring state, Uhuru Kenyatta and most importantly opened new Somali embassy building in Washington.

In his first maiden UNGA speech since coming to office, President Farmajo rejected Kenyan government request to settle disputed maritime border outside the court.
