Members of Somali Lower House have summoned the country’s Information Minister, Mohamed Abdi Hayir Mareye to come before the House.
In a letter by Lower House leader addressed to the minister, the MPs urged Minister Mareye to attend today’s parliament session.
The minister will be asked about the management of the state-owned media and its programmes regarding allegations of denial to give equal opportunities both pro-government and opposition MPs at SNTV/Radio.
Some of the MPs opposing the current administration have accused the state-owned media of airing the parliament debate in bias claiming that the media choose to air debates by pro-government only
Previously, the lawmakers met with ministers for Finance, Security and Civil Aviation for grilling over their respective duties.
