Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoor Qoor) has been elected as the president of Galmudug State following election held in Dhusameeb town.
According to the electoral committee, Ahmed won Galmudug regional leadership election with 66 votes of possible 77 votes. His opponent, Abdullahi Samar got 9 votes.
Other candidates, Ahmed Shire Mohamed got one whereas Abdirahman Ahmed Sabriye achieved one vote.
