Southwest state President sacks three cabinet members

The president of Southwest state of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Laftagaren has dismissed three members of his cabinet on Monday, the presidency confirmed.

In a press statement, President Laftagaren has sacked the education and labour ministers and deputy education minister.

Abdirahman Osman Malak, Faysal Abdullahi Ali and Jibril Mohamud Adan, education and labour ministers and deputy education minister respectively.

No reason for dismissal of the ministers was given out.

The President also appointed new individuals to fill the posts vacated by the trio.

Mohamed Yussuf Hassan was appointed as the new education minister of Southwest state.

The president appointed Abdikadir Omar Abdullahi to be new labour minister while Abdifatah Issack Mohamed was selected as the deputy minister for education.

The three sacked ministers have not commented on their dismissal.
