Somali government will get Three testing machines for Coronavirus for the first time since the novel virus in the country.
In an interview with VOA Somali, Fawziya Abikar, Somali minister Health said the government put place in measures to stop the spread of the virus.
According to the minister, the country depends on WHO for testing suspected cases of Coronavirus.
The minister said the country will be importing three testing machines.
Fowziya said the country remains at risk of importing COVID-19 cases as hundreds of people cross into the country from the borders with neighbouring countries.
The Minister called for concerted efforts to limit the spread of the virus as the country puts up more measures.
Somalia on Friday confirmed the third case of COVID-19 after two of the persons who was on quarantine tested positive.
Somalia registered the first case mid this month and instituted a raft of measures including banning all international flights and closing learning institutions.
The country remains among countries with few cases of the disease as most African countries record double digit figures.
In neighbouring Kenya, the number has risen to 38 while in Ethiopia 20 cases have since been recorded.
