The United States government has pledged to continue its support to the Federal government of Somalia in its fight against COVID 19.
The meeting between Health and Social Services Minister, Dr. Fowzia Abikar Nur and US Ambassador to Somalia, Donald Y. Yamamoto was also attended by senior officials from USAID Somalia program.
The discussions focused on how US can fully contribute to the COVID-19 response in the horn of the African nation.
Health authorities warned private health facilities in the country to keep COVID 19 patients in their amenities without reporting to the designated centers.
According to the ministry of health nine people succumbed to the disease in various emergency centers in the capital on Sunday evening putting the number of COVID 19 casualties to 32.
