Illicit bew valued at hundreds of US dollars which was packed in bottles was impounded by police in central Somalia.
According to sources, police officers at checkpoint in Adado town have nabbed 124 bottles of the alcohol which were to be transported Mogadishu.
An officer who spoke the media said the police also arrested number of suspects to alcohol and will be arraigned in court after the conclusion of probe into their cases.
The move comes barely three after 16 people were arrested in Kismayo after Jubaland security forces raided a house.
The operation which took place in Alanley village of southwest Kismayo targeted people who allegedly run illicit alcohol business.
Alcohol consumption is unlawful in Somalia; there are strict measures against alcohol consumers and sellers.
Most of the alcohols used by locals are sold in black market.
