Galmudug leader, Ahmed Abdi Qorqor has held talks with UK ambassador to Somalia.
The meeting which took place on Wednesday in Mogadishu focused on wide range issues.
In a Twitter post, Qorqor said the talks related to the upcoming federal elections and development issues in his state.
“I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with British Amb @benfenderfcdo, we discussed our joint efforts, namely reflecting on the current electoral impasse & the need for more economic and social development opportunities in #Galmudug,” he said.
The meeting comes amid reports indicate that Galmudug leader tries to mend relations between the current government and opposition leaders over the elections.
Somalia expected to hold parliamentary and presidential elections of soon as the incumbent president term lapses in February next year.
